Review: I’ve been playing Ronin: The Last Samurai for a year now, and it’s absolutely amazing. The game offers a realistic ronin experience, packed with a plethora of strategies and progressions. It truly stands out with its beautiful art style and intricate game mechanics, reminiscent of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but available on mobile, making it more accessible. However, I have a few concerns. Firstly, I’m unsure if my game progress is backed up. If I uninstall and later reinstall the game, will I be able to pick up where I left off? Additionally, while the gameplay itself is captivating, the steep increase in difficulty, particularly in the later chapters, can sometimes make progression slow and frustrating due to the high gold costs needed to level up skills.
The events in the game have been a refreshing change, especially with spring and key events. More frequent updates, perhaps every two weeks, would keep the community engaged. Introducing permanent fashion items without stat improvements that can be earned or bought, adding new characters, and implementing guild bosses could significantly enhance the gaming experience. Despite facing a suspension issue, which was particularly frustrating given my clean record, I still consider this one of my favorite games. Although gathering necessary materials to max out weapons can be time-consuming, the competitive nature and overall excitement make it a fantastic game.
